Embracing Unity in Diversity with Cultural Celebrations

Cultural Diversity is one of Learning Ladder Montessori’s most important aspects of the program, being able to incorporate other cultures and explore a wide variety of ethnicities from around the world by celebrating whether it may be holidays, important dates, planned activities as well as fun filled incursions such as our African Drumming incursion at our Wyndham vale centre!

It is hands-on activities like this which children really take away and remember from cultural topics. They become active participants in the music as opposed to merely spectators. Throughout the event, children participated by listening and dancing, moving their bodies to the beats and sounds of the instruments illuminating the centre with smiles and giggles with Appiah.

We embed practices like these to create a diverse and colourful environment and community within Learning Ladder Montessori  and recognize the unity of cultures and the wide range of learning experiences and opportunities that come with it!
