At Learning Ladder Narre Warren, our little explorers had an exciting time diving into the world of colours with a creative colour sorting activity! Children were encouraged to identify, name, and group objects by colour using a variety of hands-on materials. Whether it was sorting red blocks into a red tray or matching colourful pom-poms to their corresponding cups, the activity sparked curiosity and joy. Through guided play, educators supported each child’s learning journey, helping them build confidence in recognising colours and making connections in a fun, playful environment.

This simple yet impactful activity goes beyond just learning colours; it helps develop early math concepts like categorising and comparing, enhances fine motor skills through careful placement, and encourages language development as children describe what they see. Most importantly, it fosters a love for learning through exploration and creativity. At Learning Ladder, we believe that the best learning happens when children are engaged, supported, and having fun. This colour sorting session was a perfect example of that!
