Our Mascot - Larry The T-REX
Our friendly mascot—the magnificent, gigantic Larry the T-Rex—will be there to greet you as you enter your Learning Ladder centre each day.
Larry is a source of great pride for our staff and the children. Here are some of the reasons that we chose Larry the T-Rex to be the face of all our centres:
- Team spirit: Dinosaurs represent strength, courage and inner power, all of which are important characteristics that we strive to instil in our children.
- Originality: As dinosaurs have long been extinct, they create a sense of wonder and mystery.
- Teachable moments: Our educators use children’s interest in dinosaurs to help them achieve the outcomes of the early years learning framework. Larry the T-Rex inspires enriching conversations about time and history, animals, science, environmental issues, evolution and much more.
- Excitement: Incredible creatures, such as dinosaurs, are popular topics for children. Larry the T-Rex generates excitement across our centres by igniting the children’s imaginations, curiosity and engagement in learning as well as offering endless educational opportunities for our teachers.
