This week at Learning Ladder Epping, the children took part in a hands-on recycling activity designed to help them understand the importance of caring for our environment. The activity introduced three recycling baskets: a red bin for non-recyclable items, a yellow bin for plastics, and a green bin for organic materials. Using printable images, the children carefully sorted each item into the correct basket, building their awareness of how everyday waste can be separated responsibly.

Through this engaging experience, the children developed early sustainability habits while strengthening their decision-making and categorisation skills. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they discussed where each item belonged and worked together to make the right choices.
