"FOSTERING LOVE FOR CARE THROUGH MONTESSORI LEARNINGS"

Cocomelon Incursion

Cocomelon Incursion - Social Development

At Learning Ladder, children in Kinder 1 have been learning about insects and bugs and have shown a strong interest in this topic, and to further extend on this theme, teachers are always thinking about fun and exciting ways to strengthen development and growth. Clay has its benefits, and it can boost self-esteem, builds imagination, therapeutic and extends attention span. Not only children are building skills in language development, problem-solving, fine and gross motor, social and mathematical concepts. Through exploration and the sustainability of using clay to create sculptures of insects and bugs. Children had giant insect and bug figurines to visually look upon as they learned to manipulate the clay to create master pieces of their own imagination.
Clay improves hand and eye coordination and requires both hands to function together, it also encourages trial and errors, develops motor skills, teaches creativity, and encourages play based learning.
Clay is also a sustainable material that can be reduced, reused and recycled by breaking down the air-dried clay and adding more water, leaving it for 24hrs for it to absorb the liquid and soften the air dry clay before you can start using it again to create something else.

Here at Learning Ladder, we love to expose children with a range of experiences that will support development and growth and clay art is one of them.
